    • RE: HDR sources still very very dark

@Ari are you sure this is a D+ source problem?

I had to disable HDR output on my Firestick 4k too because any Netflix shows with HDR coming through that to the MoGo Pro were also way too dark to watch properly.

Couldn't there just be some way to disable this functionality? The projector doesn't output HDR anyway, so why even have it tell sources that it's HDR capable. If it didn't do that, they would then just default to normal colour-level streams and be perfectly watchable. Or is this an Android TV problem?

I'll join the FB page too. Thank you πŸ™‚

    • HDR sources still very very dark

Hey folks - I'm still loving my projector, but I'm finding HDR films on the native Disney Plus app to be almost unwatchable because of how dark they are.

Is there any chance of a "disable HDR" option in an upcoming firmware? If I plug a non-HDR laptop in via HDMI and play it from that, I get a perfectly bright picture, so it's not that the projector can't do it. It's just that it seems to have an issue with HDR feeds for some reason. But I'd rather not have to hook up my laptop every time I want to watch a movie on D+ because it auto-defaults to HDR with no way to turn that off...

Thanks for all the support up to now, but I'd be really interested to hear what the engineers say about this one. πŸ™‚

@Ari nothing has changed yet - just checking, is there a new system update to download since the initial post was made, as I've not got that showing as available yet if so! πŸ™‚

@JasonJason Yes, but mogo pro does support HDR decode, we've got some feedback about the dark images for HDR videos, and our tech team is checking with Disney+ side. Shall optimize it in the future update, please be patient. πŸ™‚

Thank you! I am happy to be patient, it's nice to know this is a known issue though πŸ™‚

Hi, I run Netflix 4.16.3 built 15172 smoothly in my MoGo Pro. The only β€˜issue’ is that it doesn’t creat the home icon after installation, but I did it myself. So, it’s running great!

How did you install this, dude? πŸ™‚

    • RE: MogoPro - audio offset

@Norbert said in MogoPro - audio offset:

      Hey there,

By using the MogoPro with YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime via Chromecast and/or directly from the beamer, there is an annoying audio offset / lag (between 0,5 and 2 seconds) compared to the video. Valid for the Harmon kardon speakers, different Bluetooth speakers and Headphones, also by wires. Pretty sure the external peripherals can be excluded as offset cause.

Are you aware about this issue?
Is there already a planned fix?
Any possibility I can fix it for now?
Is there an offset setup / change option within the MogoPro?

      Hope for some positive reply.

      Thanks,
      Norbert

BTW, I really like the MogoPro. It's an awesome Beamer and exactly what I was looking for! Highly appreciate your work, effort and support. Thank you

Norbert - just out of interest, are you using the 4-corner keystone manual correction? (I can't remember what it's actually called in the settings - the second option down.)

If so, I also had slight sound sync issues with that, but switching to the other auto-keystone option sorted it out. You could try that?

@JasonJason Still working on the BD process. But now we've finished the BD process for Amazon prime video, you can get the native app in google play store, no more casting now. πŸ™‚
Sure we would get Netflix one day with the support from loyal customers like you.
      Stay safe, cheers~

Thank you for the response, very helpful and appreciated πŸ™‚

I have one final question, if you don't mind? Is there any way to stop Android 9.0 telling apps/devices that it's HDR capable when the projector is not?

Two examples of this; the native Disney Plus app is trying to play an HDR stream (because when you look at a film's start page, it has HDR listed), and my Amazon Firestick 4k is defaulting to the HDR stream for things I'm watching (again, it's showing as supported). This is causing these shows - for instance, Locke and Key on Netflix via the Firestick - to be so dark as to almost be unwatchable (which is a shame, as the projector is nice and bright with SDR content).

Is this something you could pass on to the tech people as something to look into? πŸ™‚

      @JasonJason Hi Jason, good day.

Yes, we have fixed this HDMI issue in the last firmware update. Please make sure your projector has the latest firmware:
      Mogo-V2.1.53--21st Jan.
      Mogo pro-V2.1.55--21st Jan.
      Halo-V2.1.17--19th Jan.

      Hi there,

Thank you for the response. I will check this out.

      Any update on Netflix? πŸ™‚

    • HDMI source 5.1 sound problems

Hello. I got a MogoPro yesterday, and I see there was a post about this in November, and wondered if there is a fix for it yet?

Like the person who posted, if my HDMI input from an Amazon Firestick 4k is set to anything other than "stereo" (such as "best available" or "Dolby Plus") then no sound comes through, only clicks and buzzing.

Setting it to "stereo" provides sound, however the sound is slightly out of sync with the video, which is frustrating to watch.

Any info on this would be appreciated. πŸ™‚

(Also, any update on native Netflix support?)
