Youtube issue on XGimi CC Aurora



  • How far are we with the update so that the Aurora CC plays YouTube again? said you need time to adjust the firmware, how long will it be this year? We need an update and we don't promise, we want to know when something happens.



  • @Ari Hi! I have the same problem with XGimi CC Aurora YouTube error. SmartYoutube offeers to download some apps while starting and... doesn't work also.
    Please! Do something to solve this problem and update CC Aurora firmware!

  • @Ari hey I just bought this projector and so excited but it won’t connect to any streaming apps. Or through my phone. It’s a projector is should be able to project what’s on my phone screen no matter the app. Why won’t this work. I’m in a common wealth country and we are free to use the internet as we
    Please. Also it’s 2020 this what everyone uses. And if they don’t work why would you sell them to international countries.

    CC aurora has aosp system which would have some limits. 😞 but you can still do the screen mirroring via happy cast.

    May I ask have you checked our new product--Mogo series? They have offical android tv system and chromecast function, which alllows you to connect with other devices as well.



  • @Ari why would checking out a new product help me with the one I’ve purchased and spent 100’s of dollars on? So unless your offering it to me for free it’s irrelevant to This situation seeing as I’ve had mine for less then a week.
    And yes when using the mirroring feature it also won’t load any of the streaming videos. It just says error code : ffffd8f0-0.

    It’s literally pointless for its price mark.

  • @hillaryfilip We are still working on the BD process of some apps, like prime video. It's about the certification of app. We need to get the authorization from the owner if we use this app. Before that, would suggest you to try fire tv stick.

  • @Micha123 i agree with what you said about offering the Mogo add a solution. it really grates my nerves to have someone try and sell me a newer product to fix the problems in their old one. i curse every time i read this "solution"



  • @Ari is fire sick working with CEC on the aurora? so we carry on using the One remote...?



  • @mr_t4278 Sorry to say the CEC function is not supported yet. XGIMI remote is quite easy to use and small to carry. I would absolutely forward these requests to our tech team and optimize our projectors in the furtuer products. Please stay tuned.



  • First I have to say I'm pretty disappointed about XGimi's reaction to this issue. I understand it's an older product with some limitations, but at least you could have looked for some alternatives.
    So, guys, if you want to watch Youtube on XGimi CC Aurora, you can install an alternative app "YouTube Vanced" from apk package. I tried version 14.21.54, seems to be working fine. A little sluggish, but we are used to it on CC Aurora, right?

    As I've mentioned, we won't give up on all XGIMI projectors or customers. The " smart youtube tv " is just a temporary solution, our tech team would absolutely find a way for CC youtube issue, we just need more time to do so. Or all CC projectors would be kind of useless, right? We won't let that happen. Please be patient. 😞

    After YOUTUBE launch problem I've decided to reset projector's software, but...
    For several hours I can see only blue screen with "Entering reset system... "
    No reset. No progress...
    What should I do to launch my projector? Please... Help! I need step by step instruction!

    The netflix is not supported on Z4 yet, we are still working on the BD process. Before that, I'll suggest the tv stick for more streaming apps.

I made an update from YouTube and now I get the warning message:" This product is not a xgimi official international version product, so the international firmware is not proper functioning". what can I do? How can I use the projector normally? Can I do another software update? Where can I find the download firmware? Machine Name: CCM3KE9BEXWG. Thank you!
