Mogo Pro turn on by google assistant (or Alexa, …)

  • Hello,

Does anybody know how to turn the XGIMI Mogo Pro on, by using voice commands via google assistant (or Alexa, …).
In the meaning of, no additional equipment, tools, … like Google Chromecast or Fire Stick.

Any possibility to adjust the settings for this kind of action?
Or are you (XGIMI Team) planning to implement this kind of feature?

Thabk you very much in advance,
    Norbert

Hi Norbert, good day. thanks for your support.
Mogo pro remote works via Bluetooth speaker, while some other remote is from the IR connection. The phone apps would work under the same wifi signal, so the projector needs to be turned on first to with with the phone apps.
So sorry the google assistant can't turn on the projector. Appreciate your understanding. Welcome to the Facebook for more sharings from customers: https://www.facebook.com/groups/397245941024735

  • @Ari why XGIMI the tech team doesn't implementing this feature??? This is the future...

  • @tony-m-hu-gmail-com Good day, sorry for the late reply.
As I've mentioned in the previous messages, when we use the software supported features, we need to turn on the device first, so the system will send the related command to active the features, so the phone apps would work under the same wifi signal, so the projector needs to be turned on first to with with the phone apps.
Otherwise, it'll need hardware support for the power features, please stay tuned for the future models.

  • Dear all,

If there is still any interest for this function... by using i.e. a chromecast, you can turn on the mogo pro by voice commands. Little workaround with additional cables, but it works quite fine.

    Norbert

  • @Norbert could you please describe how you achieved this? Are you using a Chromecast that is plugged into the projector? Does that work to power on the projector?

  • @ericmoolin you are right. Chromecast plugged into HDMI connector of the beamer and using voice commands with google assistant to "turn on" the beamer (or rather said, turn on the chromecast stick). It will start the beamer in the beamer UI (no need to switch back from Chromecast HDMI port to Beamer UI).
