I have noticed that the fan noise is too loud. It starts quietly, but after few minutes running, the fan starts making a lot of noise. For example, yesterday, after 2 hours working (a movie), the room was at 26ºC (80ºF), but the fan was very noisy and the system information showed a temperature of 50ºC (122ºF) on the projector.

Is there any way to reduce the fan speed or even disable it?

By the way, I'm running 2.2.0 firmware (downloaded 1 year ago from automatic updates) but everywhere I look it seems that the last official update is 2.1.9. and I can't find my 2.2.0 version anywhere.

Should I downgrade to 2.1.9? Will version 2.1.9 prevent fan noise?
