@Ari I have not gotten a chance to try it somewhere else. I will try to use it at a library or something. It's difficult as everything is closing around here due to the virus going around.

RE: Halo Cannot Joint Captive Portal WiFi
I tried it multiple times at a Hilton hotel. I believe they use the same wifi system at all their hotels (It looked and worked the same as other Hiltons I had stayed at recently). After you find and try to join the wifi network the Halo never opens the browser window required to accept the terms and conditions and enter the room number in order to finish joining the network. This is required to finish the wifi connection with captive portal networks. It leaves the Halo with no internet access on the network.

Halo Cannot Joint Captive Portal WiFi
Many hotels and public spaces and business have wifi connections that require you to "log in". It usually consists of being redirected to a page where you enter credentials or agree to terms and conditions before fully joining the network or getting access. These are commonly referred to as captive portal wifi connections. The Halo is unable to join these networks. It sees the network but cannot finish the necessary tasks to satisfy the captive portal. The Amazon Fire Stick 4K is able to do this as well as some other devices. It's important to be able to do this in order to connect to wifi at businesses and hotels since this is a portable projector. Right now the only solution is to call their tech support line and try to get them to add the MAC address to their system so the Halo can access the network. Please fix this ASAP in the next software update. It's very important for business and personal use. Thanks.

RE: Halo outputs screeching noise as audio over HDMI under certain conditions
@Ari I emailed a video of the audio problem over HDMI with the previews on a Blu Ray disc.

MoviesAnywhere app says not 4K capable device
Android TV Movies Anywhere app says the device is not 4k capable and does not allow access to 4k streams. Also movies anywhere over Chromecast fails when you try to play any 4k titles in your library. The movie starts to load and then it quits back to the movies anywhere logo. It does not give you an option to play in HD either. If you own a movie in 4K you cannot cast it with the app from your phone. HD only titles will Chromecast and start playing.
Thanks,

Vudu Android TV app only offers SD streams
I can only get SD streams to show up inside the Vudu Android TV app from the Google play store on the Halo projector. Why can't I get HD or 4K streams? On Chromecast I can get better streams but I was hoping not to need a stick or additional device. It's hard to use Chromecast at hotels sometimes.
Thanks

RE: Halo outputs screeching noise as audio over HDMI under certain conditions
@Ari Yes it only happened when a Sony Blu Ray player was connected by HDMI and it was only during the previews on the disc. The movie audio on the disc played fine. I do find the audio level to be a little bit low over all, I don't know if it's capable of any louder sound or if that is the true hardware limit of the speakers and driver board. Thank you for the advice about setting it to stereo. I don't know what the blu ray player was set to. I will look forward to the fix in the firmware update. I also wanted to agree with the request to see the battery percentage and if possible estimated time left but at least the percentage without having to leave a chromecast stream or go to the main menu to see the battery percentage.
Thanks,
M

Halo outputs screeching noise as audio over HDMI under certain conditions
When connected to a Sony Blu Ray player the Halo began outputting screeching audio when the disc started playing. It only did this during movie previews on the disc. The audio of the actual movie was correctly played. This happened with two different Blu Ray discs I tested. The Blu Ray player works fine connected to a TV. Also please add a Halo category to the forum.
Thanks,
M
