  • Error 15215 in QuickBooks signifies that you face an issue in downloading the payroll updates or Maintenance release. The most probable reason for QuickBooks error 15215 is the restriction in accessing the server leading to low or no response. The problem can be quickly resolved using some necessary steps, such as rebooting the system or running QuickBooks as a Windows administrator. Rebooting the system resolves the issue that is making the payroll function to shut down forcefully. If the problem doesn’t resolve, then setting QuickBooks as a Windows administrator will do it.
    Firstly, Close QuickBooks, right-click on the QuickBooks icon and select Run as administrator in the drop-down list. If a dialogue box opens, that says, “do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer” then click yes. The next step is to verify that TLS 1.1 and 1.2 are unchecked, and TLS 1.0 is checked. You will need to open the Internet Explorer, go to the tools, and click the internet options tab. Now select the advanced tab and then go to advanced settings. Locate use TLS 1.0 and make sure it is check-marked. Now locate use TLS 1.1 and use TLS 1.2, make sure they are unchecked. Once done, click ok and install QuickBooks update again.
